Musicbot is an SNU Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program project on how emotion-based and situation-based music recommendation chatbots affect negative emotions.

Chief Researcher in a two-person research team, 2021.

Highlights

• Designed the research question around conversational recommendation and emotional support.
• Built an empathetic chatbot that recommended music based on users’ emotions and situations.
• Preprocessed a Kaggle pop-song dataset in Python for the recommendation mechanism.
